Introducing RBSS.

RBSS is me, Richard Beedle, and a small team of trusted people. I’m one of those lucky or annoying people, depending on how you look at it, that loves what they do. I’ve been involved in the steel industry straight from leaving school gaining first hand experience at every level. From steel mills to service centres and sub-contractors, from logistics to production processes.

Over the years I have been responsible for everything from strategy and planning to purchasing prime product to selling or repurposing excess and redundant steel. And all my experience has given me an invaluable insight to steel know-how as well as an understanding to how steel performs in the manufacturing process. I’ve also worked at board level so I know the importance of understanding company operations, stock and managing cashflow.

After working for many years for a number of major players in the market I decided it was time to do it for myself. That was nearly 15 years ago. Since then I’ve been able to use all my experience and knowledge to help companies plan and purchase steel more effectively as well as streamline logistics and even repurpose redundent steel.

I understand how the mills, steel stockholders and the market works and coupled with the economics of purchase and being entirely independent I know what steel to buy, from where and when. And, critically, at what cost! My independence also gives me immense flexibility freeing me from being tied in with one supply chain. I can adapt to source steel from various locations, wherever they may be in the world, to ensure your production line keeps moving without delay.

For me it’s not about sales targets or just making a sale. My sole aim is to put in the right strategy, that delivers the right steel and making sure it’s correct, with repeatable results, and I’m happy to say that so far it seems to be working.
